How do you become an NBA coach?

i mean this has been bothering me, i know lots of coaches have played in the nba be4, but i know theyre are somecoaches that have not played in the NBA, so how do you become one??

Many NBA coaches are from the Division 3 ranks. Greg Popovich coached at a small school in California first then landed a job at the Air Force Academy. Basically you need to know someone to get one of these positions. Once you get it though, you better be prepared to work 20 hours a day without any complaints.
